Mount Pleasant Homebuyer's Guide The Mount Pleasant real estate market covers a large area and includes so many different home styles buyer’s often are often overwhelmed. In response to the frequently asked question “What are the best neighborhoods in Mt Pleasant?” the most popular Mount Pleasant neighborhoods are: Belle Hall is a great place to live in Mount Pleasant. Belle Hall is conveniently located near Interstate 526, Belle Hall shopping center, restaurants and one of Mt Pleasant’s best elementary schools. Towards the back of the neighborhood, you will find gorgeous marsh front homes with spectacular views. Homes for sale in Belle Hall are usually priced around $350,000. Some of the best deals on new homes are in Hibben, the newest Belle Hall neighborhood. The community pool and walking trails further enhance Belle Hall’s desirability. I’ON is arguably the nicest neighborhood in Mount Pleasant. Being less than 10 minutes from downtown Charleston, I’On boasts all custom homes, with some of the finest new construction in Mt Pleasant. Architectural detail is obvious as you drive down the beautiful Charleston themed streets. There is a small town center area with shopping, restaurants and businesses are within walking from any Ion home. I’On’s amenities include pool, tennis, boat landing and beautiful club house cottage situated right on the Wando river! Dunes West is one of the few gated golf communities in Mount Pleasant. The large subdivision located on the North side of Mt Pleasant off of Highway 41. Dunes West real estate includes everything from condominiums and affordable starter homes to waterfront luxury homes for sale in the $1-2 million range. However, Dunes West is one of the most popular neighborhoods in Mt Pleasant because buyers can choose from hundreds newer homes for sale priced around $350,000. Many of the lots in the original subsections have more than an acre of land which is unusual in newer subdivisions. It’s a great family neighborhood with world class amenities including golf, tennis, swimming, boating and kids can ride their bikes to some of the best public schools in Mount Pleasant. Hamlin Plantation is considered the best neighborhood in Mt Pleasant because offers homes for sale in all price ranges. From townhomes priced around $200,000 to custom marsh front homes in the million dollar range. In between, John Wieland is building beautiful single family homes and brand new luxury town homes, with all upgrades, priced between the mid 400K’s and $600K. One of the great features Hamlin Plantation has to offer is its amenities – gorgeous club house over looking the olympic sized pool, a water slide and, a 24-hour health center – great for families and those with active life styles.
